Edward Jordan, Holy Angels School Class of 2016

 “In everything you do put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” (Proverbs 3:6)

“The Age of Holy Angels” means so much more when we add the fact that we moved homes several times, and Holy Angels School was what remained constant in our children’s lives during this age. Edward and Alison were such troopers; able to adapt from one home environment to the next. It helped that we had our Family Mission Statement to guide us, and that our Family Rules and Bedtime Routine never changed no matter where we were.

It is said that the only thing that’s constant is change. As Edward entered Middle School, I was laid off from my job in the financial services industry. I took it as a sign to finally pursue my life-long dream of becoming a school teacher. I thought, “What perfect timing: just when the kids are more independent, I can finally go back to school for my Teaching Credential!”

August 2015 was a full-on springtime in our lives - a season of growth and change:

  • Edward began his last school year at Holy Angels School;

  • I began my first semester of student teaching; and

  • We finally found our forever home: d B-hive, as we fondly call it, in Tracy.

Edward was confirmed in January 2016. We are most grateful to my brother-in-law, who is Edward’s Baptismal ninong (godfather), for his love, support, and enduring example of Christian living.

Confirmation Name: PETER

“On this rock I will build my Church, I have given you the keys of the kingdom of heaven…” (Matthew 16:18)

In May that same year, Edward graduated and became a part of the distinct Holy Angels School Alumni. We were so proud of all his accomplishments and the lessons he'd learned along the way.

To be continued...

Dear Lord, I can’t imagine a life where You are not the front and center of everything. Thank You for never forsaking us during our triumphs and during our trials. Continue to direct us as we strive to build Your Kingdom here on earth. Amen.
